Megatron
Both
powerful and clever, Megatron is leader of the
Predacon renegades who stole the
golden
disks. He took the mode of a tyrannosaurus rex
which suited the tyrant he was.
Megatron
went through three phases to end the Beast Wars in his
dragon mode, which he obtained when he too
blended his spark with his ancestor, the
original Megatron. He very nearly won the Beast
Wars with the Nemesis ship, but because one of
his crew onboard turned against him, his plan failed. Throughout
the Beast Wars he proved a very tricky, sly and tough
opponent giving the Maximals a continuously hard time.
Waspinator
Slightly
demented and buzzing incessantly in third person, this
bug proved more of a diversion tool and scrap
collector than anything else.
In
almost every episode he gets shot or blown up,
constantly having to literally pull himself together.
Waspinator stays in his original mode throughout the
Beast Wars and gets left behind at the end.
During the Beast Wars he is never a tough opponent,
but beware of Waspinator when he sneaks up behind
you...
Scorponok
Very
loyal and at Megatron's every beck and call, this
soldier (along with Inferno who joined a little later
in the series) was one of the few soldiers during the
Beast Wars who would stick by Megatron through thick
and thin. With the mode of a scorpion, he was
brave and a reasonably strong fighter. Unfortunately
at the end of the first season of Beast Wars, he was
destroyed by the transwarp explosion. He shared the
same fate as Terrorsaur (melting in lava), though
Megatron hardly expressed much emotion for his fallen
comrade and only true follower until Inferno.
Terrorsaur
A
sneaky and treacherous soldier, Terrorsaur never liked
Megatron and thought himself as the best leader.
He
was a reasonable fighter although not very consistent.
He did however get a taste of his ultimate goal, to
lead the Predacons after overthrowing Megatron in the
episode Power Surge (if my memory serves me correctly)
although it was short lived. He met his demise when
one of earth's moons exploded, sending a power surge
over earth which changed some to transmetal, but
killed him and Scorponok.
Inferno
Very
demented, this ant bot still thinks himself an ant and
it took
Megatron
time to convince him to stop attacking him and that
he
must defend the Predacons, not an anthill! he
told Inferno that the Predacons
were
his 'new colony' and being as demented as he was, he
assumed Megatron
was
the queen. He called Megatron 'My Queen' and
yelled battle cries like
'For
the Royalty!' and defended his "colony
most" bravely.
Blindly
loyal, Inferno proved a strong warrior and Megatron
favoured him slightly more than the rest.
But
it was Megatron who killed him in the end when Inferno
got caught in the crossfire when Megatron ordered the
Nemesis to kill a lone a Neanderthal.
Blackarachnia
Predacon
Blackarachnia was a Maximal protoform, but Tarantulas
got hold of her, reprogrammed her as a Predacon and
gave her the mode of a black widow spider, wanting her
to be his mate. Unfortunately for him she was a
very clever, sneaky and independent femme who
immediately disliked him and he eventually felt the
same way for her. A skilled fighter, she proved
a bonus for the Predacons, but like most of them, she
didn't like Megatron. She grew affections for
Silverbolt and left the Predacons at the beginning of
season three.
Tarantulas
Sneaky,
clever and treacherous, this sly fellow is the
Predacon scientist. Megatron's lieutenant is
forever coming up with inventions and helping Megatron
with his plans against the Maximals. However, he
is not to be trusted and on more than one occasion he
has plotted against Megatron. Tarantulas died
and came back through his own creation, Blackarachnia
and when he parted himself, or more like she parted
herself from him, he came back as a transmetal, even
more powerful than before. Tarantulas added
interesting twists throughout the Beast Wars but
eventually met his demise when extracting aliens.
They entered him and by accident, the extractor
he was originally using on Tigerhawk
(who was infected by them) him and he exploded.
Although dead, he helped Megatron when
he
left an underground pathway to the location of
the Nemesis,
which Megatron later found.
Rampage
(Protoform X)
Rampage
was a bad creation. he was given an
indestructible
spark but was too much to handle.
After
he killed a large amount of transformers, the
High
Council decided to put him in a stasis pod
which
the Axalon would dump somewhere. During the
Beast
Wars, he escapes his pod but Megatron gets hold
of
the core of his spark and keeps it in a spark
cage.
Now
he has power over Rampage who he can control.
The
crab bot served the Predacons and later had to deal
with
Depth Charge, who was the only survivor of the colony
he leveled. After many skirmishes, Depth
Charge eventually kills him during the penultimate
episode by driving raw energon through his spark.
Depth Charge getting killed in the process.
Rampage was undoubtedly a
very powerful fighter.
Transmetal
Two Dinobot
Made
with a transmetal driver and using the core of
Rampage's
spark as his own, this cloned metal monster
proved
very powerful and loyal to Megatron until
Nemesis
2. TM2 proves that Transmetal two's are indeed
very strong. He uses weapons like his
single eye beam and his
hologram
projector to confuse enemies. He was a good
soldier to Megatron until Rampage was killed.
his spark now complete, memories and feelings recorded
from the old Dinobot kicked in and before Megatron
readied the ship to blow up the Ark and kill the
Maximals, he sent secret information
to the Maximals, showing them the whereabouts of
a secret little ship inside. Rhinox used this
ship and drove it
through the Nemesis, stopping Megatron. Optimus
who was also inside trying to stop
Megatron tried to get Dinobot out in time, but it was
too late and the Nemesis went down with
Dinobot. It was this warrior that saved the day
in the end.
Quickstrike
Quickstrike
enjoyed being Predacon and was a battle craving
maniac throughout most of his time on the Beast Wars.
He
was the Predacon fuzor and although not a particularly
string fighter, he was always willing to do so.
However,
as the trend goes in the Predacons, he did once plot
against Megatron with Tarantulas and tried to kill him
by dropping the weakened leader into a lava pit.
(Megatron has just had his spark mixed with his
ancestor.) Instead he helped improve Megatron
and a trial was held later by the leader as to what
his fate should be. He was temporarily saved
when Tigerhawk interrupted the trial, but he was
killed shortly afterwards the same way Inferno was.
By Megatron's Nemesis crossfire!
