Exams
begin on Monday for me and I'll be writing every day (except
weekends, and then I will be studying) for the next three
weeks. I write one or two exams ranging from 2-6 hours per
day (for the first 2 weeks), so I won't have time to spend on
the Internet. However, my third week ends on Wednesday the
26th November. Then I start my nice long holiday.
:) 'Til then, only small, Friday updates will happen.

name. Although the site's new title remains Beast Wars

Good
news: It's exactly 2 months 'til Christmas!
Not
so good news: It's less than 3 weeks 'til my end-of-year
exams. :::bites nails nervously::: Because I need to
focus on my studies and discipline myself, it means I can't be
on the Internet all Saturday (too distracting) so from next week
onwards I'm going to update Friday nights (my time) so send in
your goodies before Friday! After exams are over on the
26th November, Saturday updates will continue.

news! We have enough money for the site! All $60!
Yay! So hopefully in a month's time all the art that was
meant to be put up will be up. Keep sending your art so I
can store it so long.

site when it moves to its new home! (Soon you'll be voting
for a new layout design. I've got a few in the

Ok,
I know I put up a lot of stuff last update but I never posted it
on this page because all the thumbnails to the art did not
work. I've decided to give you a link to what last
update's page would have looked like because some of the stuff I
put up did work and in the case of the thumbnails, you can just
right click them, click hyperlink properties and type in the
direct link in another window and it should work. All this
will be fixed when I get our new 400 megs of space. Click

Announcement:
Sapphire's
Beast Wars Website is fast running out of space. I need
$60 to buy more webspace and so far we have $40 either on the
way or there in the account already. Until I get that
extra $20, I'm afraid I just have no more room at this account
to put up artwork and graphics. I've tried linking to
other accounts but that won't work, so until I purchase the
site's new home and the 400 megs extra space that comes with it,
there will be no more art updates. I'll upload fics and
polls and competitions as normal. Please, still send me
your art so I can keep it in a safe folder and put it all up
when the time is right. :)
As
a result of this, the Fan Art Awards will be moved forward to
cater for the new art that'll come with the new site. Feel
free to nominate anyway.

Fan Fiction Awards have been post-phoned until the 20th of
September. The reason for this is, by today, I still had
not received enough votes for the awards to work. That
reflects that there was not sufficient time for the voters to
read enough fics and therefore cast votes in certain categories
which lack votes altogether. I am posting a message later
today containing all the categories that need votes or have 3 or
4-way ties. This will give everyone more time and
hopefully more people can make it on the 20th.

I am sure most of you would have heard about that killer virus/worm thing out on the Internet, causing havoc on millions of computers. It has been deemed the worst one yet and it is spreading itself through emails. I did not update on Saturday because I decided it was too risky to go online, and today I installed the latest version of Norton Antivirus
available to me. However, I am not opening any emails with text
attachments sent to me recently, just to be on the safe side. So, for today's update, only files
(with attachments) I got up until
Wednesday will be uploaded. I'm sorry, but I don't want to risk opening them just yet. The problem with this virus is, that you may have it without even knowing so and it automatically sends itself to everyone on your address list. The stuff that
is not up today will probably be up next weekend, when I have downloaded some security patches and the latest firewalls to protect myself from the virus.
Also, rather not risk me getting it, and sending it to all of you
unknowingly!

you know your grammar and spelling isn't that hot, do
yourself (and your editor and readers) a favour and check out
this list. I did it for those of you who battle a bit with
spelling and such. You know who you are!!

though there have been lots of fic noms, there's been an obvious
absence of nominations in the following categories: Best
Romance, Most
Frightening, Most Surprising,
Most Gripping Suspense-Thriller.
This
is probably because not enough fics fall into these
categories. So here's a challenge to all you writers out
there! Who can write the most romantic, or scariest, or
gasp-inspiring or suspenseful fic of them all? I challenge
all you writers to write a fic/fics in any
of the above categories.

Change
in plans. This is NOT the last update until July.
Updates every weekend will continue as normal. I've had a
good look at my exam time table and realized that I have one
long weekend and the third week of exams I only write two at the
end of the week. This coming week is the most busy but by
the end of next week, I'll have a lot more time on my
hands. So there will be an update next weekend. Keep
sending stuff. All I ask is that, because I won't be able
to check and clear my inbox during the week, please send fics

- it has 6 megabytes and should sustain the load until the

My back-up site account at Crosswinds if officially dead.
Dreamwater just closed half its branches, causing Divatron's
site to disappear. Free servers are dying out left right and center! Let's
hope Fateback.com can hold out until I can afford a
pay-server. Just need two more people to send in ten
dollars and we're home free! Everyone hope the Rand (my
currency) weakens a little more against the dollar. (Here's me
hoping for it to weaken why the rest of South Africa weeps to
see our currency slipping down in value again. Strange
scenario, ain't it?)
Btw,
there are a couple of new nominations at the Fan Fic Awards
Nomination page.
I've
kept the Fan Art Awards poll up because there are so far only 7
votes and I *know* there are more people who can still vote.
The
Pictures and Captions competition was a tie so I've changed the

Hello
everyone! There's a big update today so here goes:
Firstly,
there has been an idea expressed on the message board about
having Fan Art awards. Now, I'm ok with having art awards, but I need to know how many others are interested in
having them. So, I've put up a poll on the Beast Wars Express page
where you can vote in favour of or against the idea.
Please vote so I can get a general idea of how many are
interested.

Just
a quick mid-week update to change the character of the month
(for May). A full, proper update will take place this
weekend.
Another
thing, from now on I'm not going to update the character of the
month picture on writers and artists pages. Each time I
change the character of the month, I have to update every page
with that image and now that I've topped 300 pages, I don't have
the time. There are now so many writers and artists that
to go to each and every fic and art page just to update the
character of the month pic is proving to be too time
consuming. So don't be startled if the character of the
month image doesn't change on some pages. Main pages will
have the updated image.

for the late update. It's not my fault, actually. I

There
really isn't much this update. For those of you who didn't
read it last update, the last fic
in the Uprising series is
up. Because I had to do a lot of re-reading of my fics to
get my memory up to scratch before I wrote 'The Planet of
Youth', I noticed a lot of errors in previous fics. I've
gone back and revised After Earth - the
first in the After Earth series and
I'm slowly putting up the edited versions of the other fics in
the series in case anyone else wants to read or re-read
them.

I have been alerted about the error a few times now that the
Guest Book page doesn't work. I've corrected the link on
this and the main page, but it means I have to correct it on
EVERY page with this layout, which could take some
time. I'll slowly upload the pages each update with the
corrected link. Sorry about that.
I've
been asked if I'll do another comic strip. Well, all I
need is some funny pictures! If you have a Beast Wars
screen cap/picture that is odd and delicious to caption, why not
send it in with a
caption of your own or leave it to me to make fun of ::evil
chuckle::

This
mid-week update was done for one purpose. I'm updating to
announce that I have
finished
the seventh and final fan fic in the Uprising series! Did
you know that I've been writing the After Earth and Uprising
series for three years?! The story can be found on the Uprising
index page and it is titled 'The Ultimate Price'. I
hope you all enjoy this fic and have enjoyed the series as a
whole. There's a little note for you at the end of the
story if you'd like to read it but it must be read after the
story.
School
starts next week for me (unfortunately) which means I'll have
less time for updates. I will try and manage one once a
week but just bear in mind that this is my Grade 11 year which
means a LOT of work.
A
regular update with fics, art and comics will take place this
coming weekend.

I'm planning to write:
Currently,
I'm experiencing a bit of writer's remorse. I've just
ended my series and right now I'm sad because I'm finding it
difficult to let go of my characters and put the series to
rest. It will be some time before I start writing again
and I'm still making up my mind if I even want to write another
series. If I do, it may or may not be a follow up to the
Uprising series. I'll have to wait and see how things go.

You'd think I'd sound a little happier after returning from a
five day holiday, and so did I until I got really sick on the
last night. I'm very weak and tired and I seriously don't
have the energy right now to do much. However, I've done a few little things just to
update this site.
I've
created and added a new collage to Sapphire's
Web Graphics page.
I
have made a Toy Reviews page (found
at Beast Wars Express page) where I review the few Beast Wars
toys I have and allow others to send in reviews on their toys
too.
Something
to brighten my day: Solar Blaze had drawn a sketch
of Magnanimous whilst testing his powers (seen in The
Planet of Youth). It's very good but better yet, she's
working on a coloured version as well.
That's
all for now. I'll try and do some more when I feel better.

A
quick update before I go on holiday for five days to the
mountains.
A
new fic is up in Sinead's section.
I
have fixed two pictures in the media section of both the
Maximals and the Predacons.
Unfortunately
I've had little time to write anything but I have done a drawing
which I'm going to get scanned in soon (if I can configure my
mother's ancient scanner to my laptop.)
Next
update will take place on Friday. Feel free to send in
art, fics, BW jokes/quotes or pictures and captions anytime
before then and I'll include them in my next update.

Firstly:
Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And
as you can see, with the New Year comes a brand new and funky
site layout! I hope you all like the choice I made.
It should make navigation easier and it adds a lot more colour
to the site. I've totally redone the Beast
Wars Express section with some new pages and goodies!
Have a looksee!! This layout has been applied to every
page except the fan fiction pages which I believe are better
viewed without the navigation bars. There's a Character
of the Month section again and this month it is
Rattrap. I'll archive all the previous Characters of the
Month from last year by next update. This coming Friday
I'll add some more fics by Sinead. If anyone would like to
send in comments, fics/art or would like to point out some broken
hyperlinks, please feel free to do so before Friday. With
the new layout there's bound to be a few pages I missed. I hope
you all enjoy the new look. Take care and have a fantastic

I
hope everyone had a very merry Christmas! It'll be 2003
soon and I hope everyone has a happy new year.
The
first big change is that the site has moved to a new URL.
The host is fateback.com who generously provide 60 megs free
from advertising! Let's hope they're more reliable than my
previous host (which was fast running out of space) The new URL http://sapphire15.yoll.net
is shorter however and an important thing to remember is that after
the http there is never a 'www'. Type in a www and the
site won't work.
The
Beast Warriors section is
finally complete in its makeover with the addition of the
Predacon page, complete with new pictures! (Best viewed with
frames.)

I've
been very busy collecting pictures to make some collages for the
Beast Warriors section. So
far I've only completed the Maximals (but Primus, it took me a
long time) and you can see it here.
The previous layout for The Beast Warriors section was a bit
sad, so I'm redoing it. :)
A
very short, silly fan fic is up in the Lone
Fan Fics section, which I've also redone (as well as Lone
Stories). Two beautiful collages by Solar Blaze are up
in a new sub section of her
main section.
I
am now accepting fan fiction and art and have put up some guidelines
for those of you who would like to send some stuff in.
That
is all for now. I'm going to work on the Predacon section
so long and get a better form emailing system.

Smashing
news! I've finally finished the sixth fan fic in my Uprising
series! Can you believe it? My writer's block
just broke and then I wrote and wrote and wrote and produced a
33 A4 page fic! Wait! There's more! I have
even started the *next* fic after this one, which will be the
very last fic in the Uprising series. You can find out
more on this at the Latest Fic News
section. Well, now I got that off my chest, onto other news.
Some
more fan fics from the amazing Lady Venom are up in her fan
fiction section!
I
have tidied up the site and fixed some broken hyperlinks.
Oh,
and by the way, I've just got a fantastic new computer which
means that I will hopefully be able to do more with it than I
can with this little laptop. We'll see. ::prays that
her dad will buy a new scanner so she can scan in some art and
photographs of her BW toys::
Anyway,

The
sixth in the Uprising series...is HERE!!!! A six month
writer's block, exams and a computer virus which wiped out all
my previous attempts to write this fic was the cause if the
delay, but it is finally here! Two WHOLE parts! 33 A4
pages and all! And guess what? You won't have to
wait for the next fic for very long - I've already started it!
0_o This fan fic is the penultimate fic in the Uprising
series. ::sniffle:: I know, I'm going to miss
writing this series so badly! It's drawing to a close but
I promise you, you won't be disappointed with the ending! (Or at
least I hope you won't.) The current fic is a prologue to
the next one which has a lot more action. The Planet of
Youth - which is what I've titles it - is quite technical and
can be a bit difficult to grip at some scenes, so you may have
to go back to the older fics and remind yourself what is going
on. See it as a introduction to a much better, much faster
fan fic to follow. Enjoy! You can read it here.

of the Guest Fan Fiction writer's sections. Have a look!
Also, a cool song where Dinobot, Silverbolt, Rattrap and
Waspinator all rap (voices done by their original voice actor
Scott McNiel) can be found in the media

Wow!
I've a *lot* to say! Firstly, I have finished my exams,
which means I now have six
weeks
to work on this site and my fan fiction. Since yesterday,
I've been working for hours on this site.
I've
just been wanting to do it for so long, but have been kept back
by my studies! But finally it's done!
Firstly:
I have given the site a new look. I have updated a total
of 16 pages! (The site itself has grown to 115 pages!) There are
new graphics splashed on various pages keeping the theme and
adding some style and colour. I think most of you
would have noticed the funky new picture on the main
page! I have added 'My Web
Graphics' to the art section.
I've
redone the Uprising page as well
and guess what? There is a preview for the sixth in the
Uprising series up at the Latest Fic
News page! Check it out! I've fixed all kinds of
broken hyperlinks so hopefully the site is easier to navigate.
If you still know of some, please don't hesitate to tell
me. As for new fics and art, well, there is no art at
present, but there might be on Sunday. However, there are
two exciting new stories from Darkfire75 up at her
section! 'Relationships part' one and two, and 'And
Then There Were Two'. Go check it out!

The Site is back up. Thank goodness.
You can see all the stuff I was raving
about last
update now! I must tell you that I am in the middle of
exams and I'll finish
on the 28th of November. After which,
I'll have a six week holiday!
Good news: I've started on the next fic
in my Uprising series. Expect to see it
sometime before X-mas! Oh and, the long
awaited Disney pic can be found
linked in the fic 'A
Trip to Disney World' or in the artist, Solar
Blaze's section.
I'm going to make this site a lot more
exciting, I promise! And I'll introduce a much more
efficient
form e-mailer! Well, this update was
just to let you know.

Yay!! Extremely happy Sapphire is proud
to say that the long awaited Disney picture (from the fic: A

As for me, well, I've been SO busy with promo
work that I've not had the time for any fics or art, but there
is something to look forward to:
I know I've said it before, but I intend to
stick to my promise this time. I WILL be finishing The
Uprising series this December!
I have it all in my head, I just need the time
to write it, and I will soon have that time, once I have
finished the awful exams!
Anyway, that it all for now. I'll try to
squeeze in another update next weekend

I have added a story (by me) in
the Lone Stories section. I've redone the section as well.
I have also...wait for
it...written a Beast Wars fan fic! ::gasp!:: I know,
I know. It's taken me long enough.
You can see it in the Lone Fan
Fictions section but be warned, it's kind of depressing.
(Perhaps due to the fact
that I was on a serious amount of medication when I wrote it,
thanks to that stupid operation I had on my mouth. Ugh...)

Blaze is up, including a picture of Joe. She rather
flattered him, I think. I never imagined him to be that
pretty.
There was a request sent by one
of you (I forget who) asking Solar Blaze to draw some thing/s.
She is very busy and has a long
list of requests, so please be patient. She's getting
there. ;)
I've also redone Solar Blaze's
section, making it much easier to access and view her art.
Now, something totally off
topic from Beast Wars, I have created a Lord of the Rings
website! Yipee! Look at the pretty link below!

At long last! Sapphire's Beast Wars
Website is complete! With a whole new layout, new and
improved features,
old pages re-done and new ones added!
New art is up, as well as new fics! There are, of course,
some hyperlinks that
are still broken, but those are teething
problems and will, in time, fade away as the site grows older.
