I've written quite a few
stories, but have only, so far, typed up two of them for you to
read. 'Black Cat' I wrote at age fourteen, therefore it
isn't that good and the plot is a little clichéd, but it's
quite a nice short story to read if you are into the
supernatural or have had experiences with it. 'Of
Maralites and Men' is to date one of my best pieces. I
wrote it at age sixteen for an English creative writing
assignment. It is a science fiction, but also a comedy and
a bit of a satire all in one. Can't and Looking Back were two
separate short stories I had to do for English class over the
past year. I have also written three poems
which are in the 'My Poetry' section. I'm not the only one
who enjoys writing stories! Go and check out some of the
stories of the other authors in the 'Guest Stories' section.
A little background on
the inspiration and result of these stories:
Black Cat - English creative writing
assignment. (I received 100% for it.) (Written at age 14.)
Of Maralites and Men - English creative
writing assignment. (I received 96% for it.) (Written at age
16.)
The Continuing Adventures of Virox the
Maralite - English
creative writing assignment. (I received 88 % for it.) (Written
at age 16.)
Can't
- Examination essay. That was the topic and I had to
from a story from the simple word: 'Can't'.
Looking
Back - Examination essay. Written in 2002. Got an A
for it...I think.
Wings
- A creative writing assignment that had to be between 500-600
words. I wrote 800. What a rebel.
Poems:
Shimmer - Written from the heart.
Not for any assignment for school, just written as an expression
of myself.
Of Snow and Blood - Again written from
the heart after watching a war drama (The TV miniseries 'The
Band of Brothers' was my inspiration.) I read this poem at a
poetry reading competition and got an A+ and later read it at a
Poetry Reading Evening, getting first place in the country in
the festival and receiving a cash prize...which I spent on
laminating posters to advertise my Lord
of the Rings site. >_<
