Pointers When Sending Fan Fiction

And Art 

I update just about every weekend.  My site is still very small.  I don't have a lot of Guest Fan Fiction up and I don't strive to make this a mainstream fic site like Ivyna J Spyder.com or The Realm of Insanity.  I made this website as a dedication to Beast Wars and everything Beast Wars, including fan fic.  Up 'til recently I was reluctant to accept fics because it is a lot of work putting them up.  However, I love reading fan fiction and I believe it's great to share stories with one another.  I have a few writers who send in fics and art which I happily put up, and if you would like to see your art or fics here, then you are most welcome.

What makes my site so special?

Well, if you take a look around, I give every author and/or writer his/her own personalized section (E.G. Miss Special)  I'm an avid fan of computer graphics and to maintain the theme of my site, I always make every author's section look cool.  You can ask for a design for your section and I'll do it for you, and you can show it off to all your BW pals. (If you don't want one then include this in your email.) As far as I know, most Fan Fiction sites (because they're so big) don't have time to do this, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

Before you send fics/art you should....

Follow the following points:

• Send your fan fics or art to malachite157@yahoo.com .  However, if you're going to send in very large art files, or many art files, send them to tessab@webmail.co.za 

• Send your fic as a Microsoft Word document OR a note pad attachment.  If it is art, attach it as a JPEG.

• EDIT or get someone to edit your fics before you send them.  I simply don't have enough time to run this site, pass school, design a special section for you and edit your fics at the same time!  Run a spell check and get someone to read your fic before you send it.  If you want me to be your editor, email me and by request I'll edit your fics.  (I'm pretty good at English - check it out if you're not sure.)  If you would like to have a quick grammar lesson, I've written up a page with all the mistakes I've noticed in fan fiction and listed them along with the correct way of writing them.  Click here for the Writing Tips page.

• Send no more than TWO fics at a time.  (If I get too many in one go, I guarantee I'll forget to put some up!)  You can send up to six art files, but if you're going to send that much in one go, send it to tessab@webmail.co.za 

In your email please:

• Include the name you want displayed on your section (E.G. mine is Sapphire)

• Include the title of your fic and state whether it is part of a series (and which series; your series must have a name) and if so, what number it is in the series. (If art give a title to your artwork.)

• Include an email address that you want feedback to be sent to.

• If your fan fic is very violent, please include a rating.  I don't allow really revolting and disturbing stuff beyond PG 13.

• If you want a little description of your fic (aka a blurb) please include this.

That's it!  A few simple points to follow and there should be no problem. Please note that I am extremely busy (running two website and trying to maintain being an A student at school takes a lot of time) and I try to update almost every weekend.  There may be the occasional delay in which case I'm sorry.
